We are in a liminal space. The time between eclipses when the universe takes the wheel. The energy is heavy, and when I feel weighed down, I turn to the Moon.
The Moon was my beacon into the world of astrology. Our closest and most influenceable celestial neighbor. The conductor of ocean tides and queen of the night. She’s an ancestor, friend, and mother.   Â
The Moon’s home is Cancer, and her exaltation is Taurus. She waxes and wanes absorbing and reflecting starlight. She’s the doula of the life-death cycle tending to earthly growth and decay.
The Moon is the ocean, lakes, and a bath. She is the nourishment of meals cooked with love and the comfort of home. She is rest, rejuvenation, and so much more. Â
For two years I’ve tended a relationship with the Moon. This newsletter is one expression of our growing connection. She’s taught me to view the world through cycles welcoming more ease into my life.
As my relationship with the Moon grows, it’s time to share what I’ve learned with others. Next Saturday, November 4th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. I’m partnering with Mimi of Luna Verde to co-host Manifesting with the Lunar Cycle.
This in person workshop will guide you towards beginning or establishing your personal praxis of lunar devotion, ritual, and relationship building. The universe is alive, and the Moon is a celestial being with a vibrant soul. Mimi and I will share our experiences of attuning and communing with the Moon. Every relationship is unique, and they all move at the speed of trust.
This workshop is a love letter to the Moon. Together we’ll learn her meaning in astrology, the eight phases of her cycle, actions for building a reciprocal relationship, and considerations for enchanting ritual. Those who attend will receive a guidebook and lunar herbs to support their praxis.
This workshop is for those in the Milwaukee area (or those willing to travel) who are curious about the Moon, astrology, or planetary magic. This is for caregivers, community builders, healers, parents, and witches who desire more nourishment. The Moon teaches us we cannot pour from an empty cup. To care for those we love, we must also care for our bodies, minds, and spirits.
I hope you will join us November 4th or share with a friend. The workshop is $40 with the option to pay a $20 deposit and $20 on the day of the workshop.
May we all be nourished this Moon day. Please care for yourself and others during these dark times. Ask for help when you need it and show up for others.
As genocide wages on in Gaza at the hands of oppressive, violent governments (including the U.S.), I continue to listen, learn, and take action. Here are resources I found helpful this week.
