This transmission is a love letter to the Gemini-Sagittarius axis of the Zodiac. Air breathes life into fire, and opposite signs find balance. Philosophical, inquisitive, meaning making, multi-passionate.
Lately I’ve experienced the magic of this axis in real life. I have a Gemini Moon, and my best friend has a Sagittarius Moon. While our friendship is only four months old, it feels like we’ve known each other forever. We say we both manifested each other, and it’s true! When I was at my loneliest going through my spiritual awakening and confronting decades of unhealed trauma, I pled with the universe. Please bring me community! Please bring me friends who are healing and transforming. Friends who love astrology and hate the police. Friends who manifest collective liberation. The universe is always listening, and even though I struggled through a year of loneliness, my manifestations were granted!
This magical Gemini-Sagittarius Moon and Taurus-Scorpio Sun friendship is built upon a foundation of vulnerable, insightful conversations on wide ranging topics – astrology (of course), sobriety, anti-capitalism, thrifting, forming covens, poetry, healing our inner children, ditching social media, creative practices, and so much more. I could go on forever, but that would be too Gemini of me, wouldn’t it?
The Gemini-Sagittarius axis is the micro and macro. Gemini is mutable air ruled by Mercury collecting details, information, and of course the latest gossip. Gemini moves between social groups and serves as the connector bringing people together. Gemini is the definition of multi-passionate doing all the things, all the time! Sagittarius is mutable fire ruled by Jupiter expanding their horizons and seeking freedom. Sagittarius makes meaning out of life and does not settle until they find the answer! Sagittarius is the philosopher and the nomad never settling, always searching. Together they make quite the dynamic duo, and fortunately for us the collective gets to experience the magic of this axis!
On Saturday, June 3rd at 10:42 PM CDT the full Moon reaches peak brightness in Sagittarius while the Sun is in Gemini. If there was ever a night to gather, socialize, and be merry it’s this night! Host a dinner party, go on a full Moon group bike ride (I’m doing this), or attend an open mic sharing your art with a live audience! I am getting excited just typing this!
The Gemini-Sagittarius axis is excitability, play, expansion, and the life of the damn party. Think about a party you attended where you found yourself in hours of deep conversation. That is the energy this full Moon is giving! The best parties I’ve been to were on summer nights where I met new, fascinating people who share my multi-passions, and we talked the night away. Even though I’m sober, my inner party girl is still alive and thriving! She just needs the right atmosphere to come out of hibernation, and this Sagittarius full Moon is providing!
Ya’ll, enjoy this one, and please for the love of God share your full Moon stories with me!!! I’m begging you. This will be a night to remember, and my Gemini Moon wants all the tea. Don’t forget to howl at the Moon. Drop a comment on Substack, reply to this email, or send me a message directly at mysticmagnoliaastro@gmail.com
Present Practices
This Gemini season is ACTIVATING my nervous system. I went through a depressive slump during Mercury retrograde and eclipse season. Now Gemini season + Mars in Leo transiting my first house has zapped me into an excitable, energized state. I want to accomplish everything I set aside during the slump. I want to learn and create all the things! While it’s nice having my energy back, I feel slightly manic. While I’ve never been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, it runs in my family, and I feel myself experiencing the highs and lows attributed to this diagnosis. Right now, I’m riding out this high, but boy oh boy does my nervous system need to calm down. When I find myself in an excited state it is so easy to lose my grounding. So, my present practice is meditation. I have a Peloton subscription and love their guided meditations. I also love YouTube and Insight Timer. After I finish writing this offering, I am chilling the hell out and meditating with my favorite moss agate palm stone.
Multi-Passions…all the things bringing me expansion, insight, and joy!
Since it’s Gemini season, I’m sharing a passion project with you! My friend Eliot Marzano and I are co-creating a virtual workshop titled A Year with the Zodiac. Each month we’re teaching the mythology, archetypes, and chart examples of the twelve Zodiac signs Aries through Pisces. We just wrapped up our Gemini season workshop, and here’s the link! It’s my Sagittarius full Moon gift to you. If you would like to keep learning, the workshops are $25 and Cancer season is next! Grab your spot.
Keeping with the Gemini-Sagittarius axis theme, this podcast is it! Multi-Passionate Mastery is a podcast created and hosted by D’Ana Joi, a life coach who offers holistic approaches to common problems that multi-passionates face such as focus, prioritization, and feeling all over the damn place. If you have any Gemini or Sagittarius placements, this one’s for you!
Finally, I’ve been enjoying fellow astrologer SP Hall’s Luminaries In and Out of Sect podcast. I’m a Gemini Moon, obviously, and I’m big on podcasts! For this full Moon, I highly recommend the two Sagittarius Moon episodes – Sag Moon as Sect Light with ET Shipley and Sag Moon as Luminary Out of Sect with Diana Rose Harper. ET Shipley and Diana Rose Harper are two of my favorite astrologers ever! I fangirled so hard over these episodes. So much Sagittarian wisdom. Enjoy and savor!
